The Storytelling Revival
The ancient art of Storytelling has experienced a Revival
during recent years much to the delight of story lovers, young and old..
Much of this new interest can be credited to the oldest town in Tennessee,
Jonesborough, and the promotion of Storytelling there.. Each October for
over twenty years the attendance has continued to grow as thousands visit
the National Storytelling Festival to hear storytellers ranging from
beginners to the top ranking tellers in America and beyond! A three day
and night visit to this event is a unique experience as the towns' Main
Street is closed to traffic and one travels back in time visiting the
shops and moving from tent to tent to hear favorite tellers.
Tents seating over a thousand persons each are erected throughout the town
in which storytellers entertain from the stages using modern sound and
lighting systems to reach the audiences.. Come Hear, See and Enjoy!

Donald Davis is one of the top storytellers in the world,
traveling most of the year presenting his many stories and
teaching others the art of writing and telling stories. When he
comes to your area Be Sure to go See and Hear Donald Davis!
