Creeper Engine
The engine pictured at left is the original steam engine which pulled the train from Abingdon, Va. to Jefferson, NC.
Norfolk and Western gave the engine to the town of Abingdon when it was retired and it now sits at the trailhead of the Virginia Creeper Trail on Pecan Street in Abingdon, Va.
